In Diabolik Lovers, every playable character's route is split into three sections: Dark, Maniac and Ecstasy. Players take on the role as Yui Komori ( 小森 ユイ, Komori Yui, - default name), who can choose from a variety of male characters as her love interest. On, Rejet announced and launched a new project that happening within the same universe as Diabolik Lovers, titled Carnelian Blood ( Japanese: カーネリアンブラッド, Hepburn: Kānerian Buraddo) featuring thea 5-man unit called EROSION. Three well received stage plays also ran in August 2015, August 2016, and January 2018. It has been made into various manga, anime, drama CDs, music CDs and fanbooks. The first series was followed by an OVA, which was included in Diabolik Lovers: Dark Fate on February 28, 2015. The franchise has brought forth two 12-episode anime television adaptations by Zexcs, which aired from Septemto Decemand Septemto December 9, 2015. The seventh game was released in March 2019 playable on Nintendo Switch.
Thus far, the franchise has released seven games with the first two having been remastered for the PlayStation Vita and released as "Limited V Editions". Its first entry was released on Octofor the PlayStation Portable system. Based on the reviews, a lot of the feedback says this show is an "abomination" and calls out the repugnant way the male characters treat Yui. The 12 episode anime, probably the most well-known on this list if the 119,415 users who took the time to score it are any indication, scored an overall rating of 5.36. Putting Yui in a reverse-harem situation, each brother swears they'll make Yui theirs! (Run while you can, Yui. Unfortunately for her, the mansion isn't as secluded as it would seem, housing a family of six vampire brothers, Shuu, Reiji, Ayato, Kanato, Laito, and Subaru. Diabolik Lovers, aka toxic relationships the anime (so much so that it earned a spot on CBR's 10 Toxic Anime Relationships Fans Could Never Get Behind list), this series follows Yui Komori's life in a secluded mansion.
